Lastly, the opacity of a shower curtain is imperative. If someone wants a very opaque one to make sure their privacy is kept, or so that they can take a shower in dimmer light, there is a need for that type of curtain. If one does not mind what the opacity is and is just looking for the right color scheme or shape, then it is not as important. On the other hand, if a person wants a shower curtain that is translucent, so as to see what is going on in the bathroom as they take their shower, or so as to get plenty of light coming in through it, then it can be seen through needs also to be on the market.
You know of course why we use shower curtains. Not only to protect our naked bodies from the eyes of our surrounding friends and family, but also to protect the furniture, towels, floor and everything else in our bathroom from being soaked in water from the shower. You have probably seen this happen either by your own doing or someone in your family. If you have ever spilled a glass of water on the floor, you know that the small amount of water in that glass seems to be a lot more once it hits the floor. Imagine what 15 minutes in the shower without a shower curtain would be like.
Even though a lot of water splashes on a bathroom curtain, it gets dirty after a while and needs cleaning. So what makes them dirty? Hard water and soap scum slowly builds up on the curtains and remains even after they dry off. These dry soap deposits give off a moldy smell over time and are visible as ugly spots on the curtains.
